About This Site

Seaniam is a portfolio site, personal blog, and technical playground maintained by Seattle-based web designer/developer Sean Carberry (that's me). It's purpose is to showcase my work and provide a space to inject some of my personal experiences and passions into the Web.

About Sean

I'm just your friendly neighborhood Web enthusiast with a love for user interface design, accessibility, web standards, and open-source development. I find joy in the process of discovering better ways to architect Web sites and improve the barriers of entry to information.

My other various hobbies and interests include: kayaking, classical guitar, hiking, travel, maps, knot-tying, reading, photography, pop culture, sustainable living, gardening, and cooking.

Other Notes

This site was built using Drupal, JQuery, the Bluprint CSS framework and Magpie RSS. Under the hood, I've attempted to implement and maintain accessibility practices, web standards and the progressive enhancement methodology. A big shout-out to all those within the community who have worked and toiled to create and improve these projects. They have greatly increased my abilities and saved me a lot of time.
